2D CAD to 3D Model Translation

2D CAD Plan with it's 3D BIM model counterpart

Creating PAS 1192 compliant 3D models

Turning your 2D CAD plans into a corresponding accurate 3D model takes time and expertise – resources that you may not have available in house.

Whether you are the client, contractor or sub-contractor, we can help you. We have considerable experience in translating traditional 2D CAD plans into digital 3D models in accordance with industry standards PAS 1192:2 and 1192:3.

A Revit or Microstation resource

Using either Revit® or MicroStation®, we can undertake this time consuming and specialist project on your behalf. By using Cadnet as an external resource we can help you meet your contractual commitments; and you can be confident in achieving predictable outcomes in terms of time, cost and quality.

Reliable, accurate and timely delivery

The timescales and exact deliverables will vary depending on your project, so we strongly recommend that you create a clear set of Employers Information Requirements. These should cover the specific details of your project in terms of who, what, when where and how data should be created and delivered.

Supporting COBIe data drops

Metadata can also be incorporated to support COBie or customer specific data exchange standards. These requirements are always best specified at the start as part of your EIRs, and we can help you develop these if needed.
